No. 149 – Negative RFR SR 223 - origianlly published in the March/April Journal No 862 and answered in Journal 864

The station is London Blackfriars looking north. The tracks in the left foreground are the through lines to Holborn Viaduct, and on the right are the two termional platforms. The track on the left would have divided into a right pair leading to Holborn Viaduct (High Level) and a lower level non-electrrified line to Farringdon where it linked into a line from Moorgate. Again, on the left one can just make out the cantilever arches of the "Alexandra Bridge" which carreid the London, Chatham and Dover Railway lines leading to Snow Hill and the "Widened Lines". Photgrapher was Dick Roberts circa 1948.
