Answer for WWW 176 (Image query originally included on Page 31 of Journal (January/February 2015) Negative No. 27070.)

This is Evenwood station, County Durham.  The DMU would be a Bishop Auckland to Barnard Castle service, according to Clinker’s Register of Closed Stations.  The station was closed on 14 October 1957. The date of the photograph, by W.A. Camwell, has a probable date of 14 August 1961. Passenger services between Bishop Auckland and Barnard Castle were finally withdrawn from 12 June 1962.
