Page 122 of Journal (May/June Journal 2017) Neg. No. 91265. - This photograph shows ex North British Railway 4-4-0 256 Glen Douglas on an SLS Special at Sunnyside Junction, Coatbridge. Gartsherrie Iron Works is in the background. Reference to the Journal p. 110, 1960 provides details of the tour advertised as Glasgow City and District covering 65 miles behind restored Glen Douglas. The fare was 15/- and upon payment of a further 1/6 participants could travel on a 1900 standard type tram car from Moss Park terminus and run via routes 3 and 10 to Hyndland station. The photograph was taken on Saturday 30 April 1960 by E.S. Lomax.
